Louis Soucy, P.Eng.

President and co-founder of Systemex Industries

Louis Soucy is an experienced Manager and distinguished consultant in asset management, commissioning and operational readiness that has, throughout his career, acquired solid expertise in a variety of areas such as mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, transport, production manufacturing, and much more. In addition, mandates in North America, South America, Europe and North Africa provided Louis with a global vision of industries realities and challenges in the era of globalization.

Louis is co-founder and, since 2014, President of Systemex Industries, an entity bringing together Systemex Industrial Consulting, a consulting firm with divisions in Canada and in the United States, and Systemex Industrial Services, a maintenance subcontracting firm. In addition to being responsible for the development and growth of these two groups that include more than 50 engineers, technicians and other professionals, Louis also acts as a strategic advisor within the Systemex Industrial Consulting team in Canada and in the United States.

For several years, Louis also acts as technical adviser in asset management with the Quebec Mining Association and the Department of transport. He gained the ALADON-IVARA RCM2 practitioner certification and is an associate member of the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) relying on his asset management expertise of IAM-ISO-55000.

Louis is a graduate from Laval University in Mechanical Engineering.

SERGE TOUSIGNANT

DCM Group CEO and co-founder of Systemex Industries

Since 1996, Serge Tousignant has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at DCM Group. Under his leadership, DCM has expanded across Canada and into the Middle East, and has grown to more than $200M in annual sales. In recent years, Serge partnered with Louis Soucy to create Systemex Industrial Consulting.

Serge is an experienced entrepreneur with extensive know-how in managing engineering and construction companies. Prior to his current roles, Serge held several operational management positions at ABB, a worldwide leader in power and automation technologies. Serge’s career has provided him the opportunity to work in almost all areas of the construction industry namely, corporate restructuring, business development, sales and marketing, contract administration, multi-disciplinary team supervision, project and quality control, etc. His experience extends to various industry sectors including oil & gas, mining & metallurgy, chemicals, power generation, pulp and paper, utilities and infrastructure, aeronautics, manufacturing, and automation/robotics.

Serge holds an electrical engineering degree from École Polytechnique of Montreal.

Louis Rochefort, P. Eng.

Senior Advisor in Asset Performance Management & Operations Manager

Louis Rochefort has accumulated a broad experience in asset management, risk management, planning, reliability and commissioning, which he now uses to help our partners’ customers achieving the next level of excellence through the implementation of best practices in asset management and continuous improvement.

Louis is a graduate from the University du Quebec at Chicoutimi in Mechanical Engineering.

Patrick Lazzer

Senior Advisor in Asset Performance Management & Commissioning Manager

Patrick Lazzer has extensive experience in construction, industrial optimization and maintenance. He has earned a solid reputation and expertise as project manager, supervisor and leader responsible for operational readiness and troubleshooting across several industries, as well as for process and manufacturing automation.

Patrick’s vast experience and technical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation and power engineering provides him with a solid expertise and background that he is now applying into his Commissioning Manager role and in terms of optimizing maintenance activities.

Patrick Lazzer graduated as an electrical and instrumentation control technician.
